Board

Neglectful Boards?

When Mike Stacy wrote the following, what did he mean?

"This is one of several issues, that the board with our new manager’s assistance, have been handling due to the neglect and performance of the past manager and boards. I will not bore you with all the meetings, research, e-mails and calls around these activities." (Email to community dated May 30, 2008)

As a member of a past board, I have wondered this myself, and asked Mike to explain his comments on June 1, 2008 and then again on August 15, 2008. Even though Mike had asked to meet with me to discuss my "concerns" with the board on May 30, 2008, Mike has never explained what he meant by this comment (nor has he met with me).

No go for HOA Board

Well, the HOA annual meeting is over, and I'm not on the board. A blessing in disguise perhaps? I think so. The board who were present did use their proxies to dump one of their own, and Steve Thompson joins the board as a result.

The 2008 HOA Board is Mike Stacy (Whitefish Lake Drive, 3rd term), Stephanie Mello (Nantucket Court, 5th term), Megan Hamaker (Rio Secco Drive, 3rd term), Steven Rand (Crooked Stick Drive, 2nd term) & Steve Thompson (Crooked Stick Drive, 1st term).

I also decided not to stand for the ACC again, and Kimberly Krawson joins the ACC with Robert Ficke and Robert Smith.

Plantation Springs HOA Board Nomination

This was sent out to the Plantation Springs mailing list, and posted on the Plantation Springs website.

I am running for a position on the HOA Board and hope you will support me in my goal to serve our community during 2008.

I have previously served on the HOA Board in 2003 and 2004, and have been a member of the Architectural Control Committee since 2005. I understand the role of the board, the importance of communicating with our homeowners and residents about what is happening within our community, and the necessity to manage our resources to enable our homeowners to live in one of the best communities in Frisco.
